Wakeup alpine style at 00:45 and Car was moving at 1:30. At 2:30 seven people group was ascenting toward Mont Dolent Summit. Temperature in Ferret was around 2 degrees. Temperature 0 –line was at the height about 2500m. The assumption was that the day will be quickly warming and that explain so early starting time. In real life, while arriving to Steep glacier below Mont Dolent summit the weather was cloudy, windy and the temperature was -10 Degrees Celsius. In steep glacier, visibility changed from moderate to bad (about 10 meter) The group made right decision to turn around at the height of 3200m. Topping Mont Dolent will be done in some other time. The Route itself is long for one day trip. If you are going to top Mont Dolent, elevation will be 2200 m. That needs at least good + physical condition. Last 900 vertical meter is ascending in Glacier.
